BRIDGE OVER NURE RIVER - COUNTY ROAD 645R DI VAL NURE IN FARINI (PIACENZA) - FIRST PHASE

In the context of the project awarded to Edil Strade Vigani main contractor, FPC ITALIA has carried out the lifting works of bridge over the river Nure at Farini (PC) - Italy. Structural strenghtening works and requalification works are included in the project.

FPC Italia is also going to supply the new pot bearings type TETRON CD and the reinforced rubber mat expansion joints MULTIFLEX SX.

The first activity is consisting of synchronized lifting and it is composed by 6 night interventions divided in two phases:

·        lifting to upgrade the bridge level and to install temporary bearings

·        lifting to remove the temporary bearings and to install the definitive ones

On the piers is foreseen the simultaneous lifting of the two bearings alignments. Meanwhile on the abutments there is a single alignment.

The lifting has been carried out by means of vertical displacement ranging from 15 mm till 150 mm.

The lifting equipment is controlled by a volumetric central unit managed by a displacements automatic electronic control system (synchronized lifting).

The first phase has been performed under the Piacenza Province authority supervision who has lead all the operations and given strict limits to the lifting forces.

All lifting were successfully completed within the scheduled timing.
