London Bridge Project Redevelopment in London

Alga, in cooperation with Freyssinet UK, is successfully concluding the supply of all the shock transmitters to the main contractor Costain, for the redevelopment and improving of the London Bridge station in London, U.K.

London Bridge is the fourth busiest station in the Country, bringing around 56 million passengers into the city each year. The improvements are part of the government-sponsored Thameslink Programme.

Alga and Freyssinet supply consists of 8 STUs for the Station Approach Viaduct Extension and 8 STUs for the Western Approach Viaduct, with loads from 3000 up to 5000 kN and displacement of +/-50mm.

The design of all the devices has been carried out by Alga technical dept. and all the tests for the CE marking have been successfully performed at our own laboratory ISOLAB.
