JAPEK HIGHWAY, JAKARTA - INDONESIA

Such a new elevated toll road is about 38 Km long and will pass over some sections of the already existing one, connecting the capital Jakarta to the industrial district of Cikampek in order to reduce the congestion on the existing road.

Due to construction and design matters, the dimensions of the structure needs to have the minimum possible dimensions, even though the high seismicity of the area. The isolators have been accurately tailor made designed to meet the strict conditions of the project.

Scope of the order is the supply of LRB Ø600mm for Soil D structures and LRB Ø700 for Soil E ones. All the isolators were designed by FPC Italia technical department according to EN15129 standard, with the requirement to be even CE marked.

The prototypes of both the types of LRBs have been tested to qualify the isolators with the presence of representatives of the client and Indonesian Public Works Department, in addition to EN Notification Body inspectors.

The isolators of Soil D structure were tested in an external laboratory, while those for Soil E at our internal ISOLAB one. For both the types the tests results were positive, thanks even to the accurate internal pre-tests to calibrate the bearings components and strict checks of the raw materials carried out in FPC RUBBER production plant.

As required by EN15129 international standard, 20% of the produced LRBs are tested before shipping along with the output process to control the production quality in our ISOLAB laboratory.
