NEW SCHOOL IN OAXACA MEXICO

FPC Italia, in collaboration with Freyssinet Mexico, managed to win a contract for the supply of seismic isolators ISOSISM type PS to be installed at the base of a school in the state of Oaxaca, in southern Mexico.
The isolators were designed, for the first time, in accordance with the American standard ASCE 7-16.
They are double surface pendulum isolators with vertical loads over 5000 kN and maximum movement of 300 mm.


The seismic analyses to determine the characteristics of the insulation system were carried out on the FEM finite element numerical model with SAP 2000 software.

The devices have passed all the tests performed at the ISOLAB test laboratory.
