HS2 EWR Intersection Bridge

HS2 (High Speed Rail) can be considered the largest infrastructure project in Europe. Its construction will take the next 15 years and the new lines will be operational until the next century. Overall, the HS2 trains will serve 25 stations that will connect around 30 million people, with an estimated 100 million passengers a year upon completion of the sections.

Once the project is completed, approximately 345 miles of new high-speed rail will link the city centres of London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds. HS2 trains will continue on mainline east and west coast lines, serving towns and cities in the north of England and Scotland, including Glasgow, Edinburgh, York, Darlington, Durham, Newcastle, Wigan, Preston and Carlisle.

For this work, FPC Italia has designed, certified and produced steel bearings TETRON Linear Rocker type with vertical loads over 7000 kN, horizontal loads over 2000 kN and movements over 100 mm.
